最近４年、小学校の朗読ボランティアに携わっていて
この時期に６年生を担当すると「トロッコ」を読みます。
それは、物語が２月だからという安易な選択なのですが、
自分が読書しないで小学校時代を過ごした反省であり、
後輩に何か、きっかけを提供したいというおせっかいであり、
そして、将来のまちを担う子たちへの広報活動であったりします。
いまの社会は「トロッコ」のような状況ではありませんし、
むしろ、不安を刹那的に味わってしまうかもしれません。
……何はともあれ、「トロッコ」の舞台は湯河原。
小田原−熱海に人車鉄道の軌跡をたどるのも楽しみの１つです。

彼はどうかすると、全然何の理由もないのに、
その時の彼を思い出す事がある。
全然何の理由もないのに？
??塵労に疲れた彼の前には今でもやはりその時のように、
薄暗い藪や坂のある路が、細細と一すじ断続している。……

「彼」のような広報人には、疲れを癒す温泉がおすすめ。

　１月も末になり、全国各地で全コン行きの作品が決定していますが、ここ数年、感じることがあります。それは「本当に良いものが評価されていない」のではないかということ。
　まあ、選ぶの審査員という限られた人だし、１０人いれば１０人なりの意見があり、好みがあります。でも、明らかに「そりゃないだろ」ってのがあるように思われます。確かに県コンで２位でも、全コンに推薦されることもあるだろうし、全国でその評価が逆転することがあるかも知れない。でもなって。そうじゃないだろうって思うんです。良いものは誰が見ても良いもの。過去に全コンに行ったから選んだ、全コンに何度も行ってるから今回は…みたいなことは止めてほしいなと。そういった審査はしていないだろうけど…　県コンの結果だけを見ると、そう思ってしまうことがあるんですよ。
　何はともあれ、すばらしい広報紙があふれる世の中になってほしいと願うＯＢでした。

　市長車運転随行中に私の携帯電話にＳ君からの着信。「はい。○○でございます」「あっ。○○副主幹？Ｓです。三人のなかにＣ市民がいるんですけど、大丈夫でしょうか？」「はい。二人がＹ市民であれば大丈夫でございます」「あぁ、良かった。良い写真が撮れました」「了解いたしました。後で確認させて頂きます。お疲れ様でございました」

　信号待ちでなかったら電話に出なかったのに、Ｓ君は幸せ者です。貴重な荷物を部屋に届け、昼食をお持ちして一息ついたところに、Ｓ君ご帰還。本日１９日がＳ君の２回目の表紙撮影取材。市の児童施設主催による「ワンコイン工作」。２月１５号に掲載予定です。未熟者が表紙にチャレンジするには、子どもの写真が一番です。子どもの生き生きとした表情が、技術の薄さをカバーしてくれます。早速Ｓ君の写真をチェック。

　「Ｓ君。フレーミングは掲載写真の縦横の寸法を考えてやっている？」「あっ。考えていませんでした。」「・・・」。
　頑張れＳ君。わが市の広報紙は君の両肩にかかっているのだ。少しくらいの失敗が何なのだ。気を取り直してお互い頑張ろう！！

　Ｓ君は私の後継者です。私のノウハウを君に伝えたい。ちょっとしょげていたけれど来週は良い顔を見せてほしい。

　私の決してきれいとはいえないＤＮＡですが、何とかＳ君に伝えたいと思う今日このごろです。

二伸　関係者さん。わが市の広報紙を、そしてＳ君の表紙を見て頂きたいところですが、匿名での投稿です。当分の間、お許しを願いたいと存じます。

　昨年までの自分を見ているようです。

　残念ながら、うちのポケモンＮくんは、わたしが挫折したために生育に失敗し、野生化してしまいました（笑）。

　愛情をもち、ときにはムチ打ちながら後継者育成をされることを願います。Ｓ君にやる気が生まれているだけ、うらやましい限りです。ぜひ、がんばってください。

時節柄、賀状を拝見して自分の軌跡を眺め、あわせて励まされています。
このところ、ためいきばかりの自分も頑張ろうと思うことができ、
同じ時期を過ごした（過ごしている）広報人をありがたく感じます。
ラウンジをご覧になっている広報人のご活躍を祈ります。
ことしもよろしくお願いします。

新年早々、駒場でサッカー観ませんか、という電話（着信）＆メールを頂きました。
内容は孤軍奮闘する広報人をサポートする撮影スタッフになりませんかというもの。
愛機のNikon F4は画像利用等を考えると後の負担になるかもしれないし、
OLYMPUS CAMEDIA C-5060 WideZoomでは申し訳ないと思いつつも、
年末年始無視で継続する引っ越しと子どもの受験準備のため協力できませんでした。
魅力的なオファーを楽しみたいところでしたが役に立てず、ゴメンナサイ。

だらだらと引っ越しの続くさなか、残りの工事に取りかかりました。
建物に付帯する「格子」「物干しデッキ」「家族の庭」で一段落の予定。
予算がまわらないため、外構はモラトリアムになりそうです。
しろうとなのにイラストレータで図面を描いて休日に現場管理もどき。
やかましい施主にならないように注意して、仕事環境づくりに努めています。
知らないこと、慣れないこと、トラブル（これが厳しい）にぼろぼろ……、
少し、タイムラグが感じられるのは、それらモロモロのため。
何はともあれ厳しさを和げてくれる「春」のきざしを頼りに
「問題はできることから解く」を基本姿勢にしています。

関係者さんのはざま？　に長文、失礼しました。

　一度書いたのですが、自分で納得いかなかったので改めて書き直します。

　一冊の広報紙を手にとったとき、この一冊だけは故郷を離れた家族の一員に送ってあげたい・・・わたしたちは故郷で暮らし続けているよ。そんな気持ちが心のうちから、じんわりと染み出す。そういう自治体広報紙は数少ないことでしょう。卓越した文章、写真、構成。だが、それ以上のものがエッセンスとして加わっている。でも、それが何かはうまく表現できない。

　自治体として合併という道は、はからずも選択できなかった。

　しかし、それ以上に、わたしたちが暮らすまちだから、ともに築いていきましょう。こんなに素敵なまちなのだから。

　強い言葉は使わなくとも、そんなメッセージが行と行の間の余白から、触れた指先を伝って身体全体に染み込んでくる。そして、何度も何度も読んでみたいと思う。
　
　きっと・・・読者である、このまちの人たちは今までに無い強い感銘を受け、改めて広報紙はかけがえのない大きな宝物と感じているに違いないと思います。

「まちの総合情報誌Fujisawa2007年12月号」。
昨年とは、また異なる大きなテーマに挑戦した号。

オマージュですよね（笑）

こんなに話題なのに、
ホームページで、まだ見ることできないんですよね。
もう１ヶ月になるよ〜。
１１月号を見せたいのかな？

でも、さっき確認したら、１月号ＰＤＦ作成中になってました。
この前と比べると、けっこう進んでるようですよ。
乞うご期待。
